Damn was it good. Nice and thick with great Belgian ale taste. Drink this happily, but don’t drive afterwards. exquicorp (7), USA does not count | 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Sep 18, 2008 Nice deep colour, very rich and powerful nose with deep plums and dates dominating...a heavy malt dosage.
Taste is very malty and dark fruit with moderate carbonation.
This really is one of my favorites ESPECIALLY at the price point. It’s a heck of a value.
This is NOT a session beer. Cletus (5060), Connecticut, USA

Taste is very sweet with hints of raisins and bananas. Ner perfect in carbonation. One of the best beers I’ve had from this brewer. Excellent beer! Dogfish120 (143), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA

A mysterious dark ruby liquid with the aroma of a tropical fruit paradise. Very loathy head with hints of a malt backbone in the smell. Mouthfeel is silky smooth with the same fruit and the same smooth finish, alch content is hidden. awesome. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark

This beer is a superb and luxurious experience. The aroma is intoxicating and transcendent even before the first sip. The nectar of the gods could not exceed it by much, pleasure greater than this would be illegal.
It explodes in the mouth like a low voltage rush, filling the pores with an electrifying yet warm surge of mellow flavor. There are shades of Port, but a distinct and original flavor unlike any other.
The aftertaste is thin and does not linger, like the fleeting sensation of a drug-induced heightened awareness that makes no sense on return to normal consciousness.
The head effect is light and ethereal, an easily controlled giddiness, a sensation worth the price of admission.
Rerate 4/06. I just bought a 12 oz. bottle. What a huge difference. I wouldn’t give it more than a 3.2. a huge dissapointment.
How could a beer be so different by being put in a smaller bottle? It makes no sense, yet it is a fact. ONLY buy the 22 oz bottle or bigger.

The aroma hits you right away, not over powering and not lite. Slow pour brings a dark brown color with a lot of tastey head. Great flavor, gets better with every sip. Palate stays with you for awhile . A must try. Cheers Canada!
