Commercial Description:
Strong Belgian type ale similar to a Port wine ! Is as dark as can be, mellow in taste with an aroma of ripe fruits. It can be compared to an old porto and is brewed from well roasted malt.

This is part of a beer club. Had only one bottle but was decent for the price. Poured great and had a nice finish. Would do again.

Gold head with deep brown body. Aroma of fruit, hops and malt. Complex body with notes of raisins, apricots and grapes. Full finish with a very mild hop. This is a dessert beer to be sipped.

341 ml bottle - pours a nearly impenetrable dark brown/red, with only a hint of lightness showing through at the bottom of the glass. Large tan head. Spicy, yeasty dark fruit aroma. Deliciously thick in the mouth, with nutmeg, banana esters, prune, fig, and a full vinous quality. Light carbonation dances on the tongue. Does not seem like 9% abv, until the very end, when a warming burst appears. Exceptional. I love the story on the bottle. One of the best beers I’ve had. Ecstasy.

Dark, flavorful and complex. This to me is very similar to Chimay Blue Label. However, I believe this to be slightly more flavorful. Mostly I attribute this to the fruitiness and alcoholic finish.

This may be my favorite beer. The flavors, the aroma and the experience are wonderful. The fruity flavor and the long lasting nutty undertones make this beer worth sipping and relaxing with all night.

Very unexpected sweet taste, nice tan head, but dissapated quickly. Fairly dark in colour, around a medium brown. Sweet aroma, and medium carbonation. Amazing flavour, with high alcohol content masked by brown sugar and fruit taste. 6pk for $12.95 CND

This is one of the finest beers i have ever tasted. It has a complex taste, alcohol warming. It is so good that i will try and make a clone of it.
