Commercial Description:
Strong Belgian type ale similar to a Port wine ! Is as dark as can be, mellow in taste with an aroma of ripe fruits. It can be compared to an old porto and is brewed from well roasted malt.

Unibroue has to be the finest brewery in the western hemisphere. Trois Pistoles is one of their best offerings, a "belgian ale" with a full-bodied taste full of caramel and tart citrus. Big taste going in, full mouth feel, and a clean lingering finish. My first encounter was in Perce Quebec on tap for dinner in a seafood restaurant during an autumn storm. It was a perfect restorative!

Found this in the unibroue variety pack at our local store. Even better then La fin du monde. Absolutely fantastic. Wonderful belgian. Even better than mountain creek. Enjoy.

750mL bottle - pours a dark reddish-brown, into chalice. Aroma is malts, raisins, figs. Flavour is very complex. Hands down, one of my all-time favourites. A class beer from Unibroue.

I love this beer. Has aroma that reminds me of port or an old red wine. Similar flavors. If you have had the Maudite by Unibroue, this is similar but with a raisin flavor.

Amazing beer! I’ve never had anything quite like it. Re-rate: I sampled this beer again and noted that the aroma isn’t as exquisite as I previously thought. Not a 10. But on the flavor side, I would choose 11 if I could. Incredibly complex and wonderful.

WOW, dark amber, off white red hintish head, smooth. Aroma is sweet and spicy. This beer is great. Wish I had more than just one. Just made my top 10 for 2002

A misty, dark brown appearance with a hearty mouthfeel. Geat tasting full-flavored beer. Very palatable. This beer is what got me started searching for great beers.

I find most of the Unibroue line too sweet, but this beer has a really mellow with a rich ripe fruit taste. Reminicent of an after dinner cordial. Dangerous in the 750 size, consider buying the 4 pack on 12oz. You might not end up drinking them all in one sitting.
