Nice dark brown with a hint of red. Smells lightly of fruit, malt, and clove. A nice mix in the taste, including apple, cherry, malt... Many more that blend in together. Nice warming finish. One of Canada's best. monkeycmdr (18), Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada

The appearance, the taste and the head are all exceptional, and everything else is very good as well. Taste has loads of apple, plum, and dark malts, and the head is one of the best. Great beer, and at 9%, it'll give you lots of bang for your buck. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA

Strong nose!! I smell garpes, pears, yeast, and hops. Serious rich flavor and so very smooth. Alcohol not very strong tasting but leaves a warm, tingly feeling in my mouth. Very good beer!! maeib (4774), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England

Big black colour with a good head. It almost tastes like a port-beer hybrid. Good alcohol taste. A very well brewed tasty beer. Eructoblaster (1510), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada

Alcohol, roasted sugar and spicy nose that almost smells like black grape. Its awsome flavor is a mix of sugar followed by alcohol, roastiness and, finally, a vigorous bitterness. Very complex and hard-to-categorize beer. A "must" after a good heavy meal. sstackho (249), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Aroma is divine - smells rather wheaty and yeasty, kind of like Unibroue’s Maudite. Flavour is wonderful - again it feels somewhat like a weizenbock. Delicious stuff, with a bit of fruitiness creeping in. Maudite is a regular beverage in my fridge, but this one hasn’t been. I’d like to taste them side by side to compare as I feel there are some similarities.

Pours a nutty brown, overflowing with aroma and anticipation. I would have liked a larger head when poured, but am happy with what I get. Fills the mouth and senses with a rich warm feeling. Wonderful throughout, recommended, and worthy of extreme accolades.
