On draught at the brewer. Sweet, diacetyl notes in the nose. Deep amber pour with a nice head that diminishes to ring lace. Dark fruity esters and sweet malt flavors are enhances by light carbonation levels and a soft mouthfeel. Weird that for a winter warmer, the ABV is more noted in the beginning than the end.

Orange-brassy color with lightly roasted malt aroma and some sweetness. Warm malt biscuit dominates. A great winter warmer.

Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a small bubbly off white head. Aroma of dark fruits, grains, toffee and some lght citrus. Flavors of the same a touch of mettalic.

Pours a clear dark amber with a minimal head. Heavy toasted malt nose with a bit of citrusy hops. The flavor is very grainy and a bit off-putting, it almost tastes dusty. The finish is especially harsh and grainy. Mouthfeel is thick and coursely grainy. This was a weird, an experiment that seems to have gone awry. Imperial Vienna? No thanks.

Appearance a light orange/amber. Grainy aroma (as is to be expected in your average lager). What was peculiar about this beer was the heavy smokiness of the flavor and finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Looked great with a nice, stand-up head. The aroma was the first hint of trouble to come. The sweet malt of a Vienna was there, a bit of caramel, mouthfeel OK....but there was some wierd off-flavor at the end. As a homebrewer I recognized that off-flavor, I THINK it was exposure to oxygin. Then again, the keg had just been changed, so I will give this one the benefit of the doubt and try it again in a week or two.

On draft at the brewpub. Easily the worst of the bunch. Looked like a standard Vienna but smelled and tasted like glue. Didn’t even finish half of it. One to avoid.
