michael-pollack (2598), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 26, 2009 Draught at the BrewPub: Faint aroma of herbs. Poured pale yellow in colro with a small, white head that diminished but lasted around the edges. Clear. Sparkling. Good lacing. Medium sweet, slightly tart, flavor. Tastes of light lemon and hint of funk. Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Slightly tart, slight funk and lemon finish. Miver (547), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 24, 2009 at brewpub for a beer dinner event. Poured slightly cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is lightly bready, wet grain, and slightly earthy. Taste is about the same with a slight note of citrus. Pretty good Kolsch. BeerGestapo (725), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 17, 2009 Brewed in the USA... Pours a golden yellow color with a small white head. Aroma of bread, malts and grass. Taste is of flowers, grains, lemons and a hint of grass. Mouthfeel was pretty thin with a tangy twist at the finish. This brew in my opinion was not a very good Kolsch. kramer (2406), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 28, 2009 On tap, at UBW. Pours a pale yellow with light visible carbonation. Light bready malt nose with a touch of fruitiness. Clean softly malty flavor with a little bit of grassiness. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation, short finish. Pretty decent, but it could use a bit of hops to brighten it up a bit. Beerman6686 (1263), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 5, 2008 Pours a mainly clear yellow color with a white head. Aroma was very grassy and a little bit of corn, smells like a pilsener. Flavor was a lot more smooth, not much here, but nothing offensive. BiddleBrau (303), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Jun 15, 2008 hazy golden color with little aroma. Clean flavor, was a bit drier than European kolsches but a nice summer drink. Sampled at Stoudts 17th Annual Microfest: June 2008 bubbleflubber (885), Collinsville, Virginia, USA Mar 23, 2008 On draught at brewer. Pale golden pour that leaves light ring lace. There is some sweetgrass in the nose. Unfortunately, the cloying corn predominates this, and makes the mouthfeel way too heavy for the style. Very processed and overdone. BillKismet (1894), Seattle, Washington, USA Dec 28, 2007 Straw-blonde with light cream head. Sugary aroma and cloying sweetness in flavor with some mildewiness.
