Jul 25, 2007 Tap @ UBW. Lightly hazed pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma is malty with notes of light grain and a mild sweetness. The flavor is sweet but light with a fair amount of hops on the finish. light bodied with a mild-moderate bitterness.

Jul 23, 2007 Draft @ Union Barrel Works, pre-BCTC beerventure. Pours a hazy yellow color; fluffy white head with good retention. Very clean aroma; light citrus hop presence; very refreshing. Medium mouthfeel with great density of flavor; fresh citrus hop character, with a light chewy sugary core; pleasant, clean dry citrus finish. An excellent, refreshing kölsch.

Jul 16, 2007 Draft. Medium gold pour with whitish head. Aroma is pale malt, subdued hopcitrus, mild honey. The taste is pale malt, some honey and hopcitrus. Nicely done.

Jun 10, 2007 Sampled on draught at Penn Microbrewers Fest. The one thing that caught me immediately about the aroma was that there seemed to be quite a strong honey presence, or barring that, the result of some dry grain dusty notes. Mild fruity hops, not quite crisp, but rather good. Hazy golden in appearance, which is a bit odd for the style, topped with a light off-white head. Medium-light body with medium carbonation. Starts with a strong grainy-honey taste, partially perhaps from the sediment. Slightly rough, though not unkind. Mild bitter finish with mild malt presence. Not crisp, but still a refreshing beer. Needs work.

Jun 9, 2007 Pours a nice light mostly clear gold, mild carbonation, yet a nice fluffy lasting pure white head. Light dms and cereal aroms, light floral and fruity ester hints, and nice fresh pils malts. Clean flavor- dough, pils malts, light white wine hint, crisp hops in the end. Good mouthfeel and body for the style. Nice kolsch.

May 6, 2007 Pretty average kolsch, very light in just about every department, not much in the nose, only a hint of flowerly hops with a touch of citrus, light golden color with a bit of a hazy cloudiness, very crisp & clean though, clover in the flavor with a bit of dry hoppiness, but still a little light in the body & the flavors

May 4, 2007 On tap at the brewpub, poured a hazy gold with white head. Light character, kind of lemony and pilsener-like. German malts were apparent. Good stuff.
