michael-pollack (2603), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 26, 2009 Draught at BrewPub as "Uncle Fester": Aroma of malts, dry leaves, and a hint of nuts. Poured amber/brown in color with a small, off-white head that diminished but lasted around the edges. Hazy. Sparkling. Lightly sweet flavor. Tastes of fruit, malts, peach, and a hint of nuts. Light to medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Fruity finish. An Oktoberfest? afireinside96 (807), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 20, 2008 On draft at the brewpub. One of the nicer offerings from my sampler, good enough to get a growler of. Fairly standard O-fest in every way. Amber color, small diminishing head. Smell and taste of warm bread, spicy hops, and a hint of pencil shavings. Would definitely drink again. Nejhleader (924), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 25, 2008 tad of a sweet aroma, didn’t really have much of a defining taste, good body, maybe a bit of spice Miver (551), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 13, 2008 Draft called Uncle Fester. Poured clear light copper in color with a small beige head. Light bready aroma. Tastes lightly bready, light grainy, slight caramel sweetness and slightly earthy. The finish was dry and lightly spiced. I’m not a huge Oktoberfest fan, but this one wasn’t bad. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 12, 2008 Aroma was on the lighter side as it is for fest beers, but was a nice range of bread, biscuity, and slight caramel. flavor was full of the same notes. medium bodied. a great fest beer with plenty of melanoidins and dry enough to be very drinkable. bubbleflubber (885), Collinsville, Virginia, USA Mar 23, 2008 On draught at the brewer, under the name "Uncle Fester". Dark amber pour that leaves webbed lace. The malty nose remains somewhat dry. Pale Crystal in the flavor lends some biscuit and toast notes. The finish is somewhat metallic, and very reminiscent of copper. The palate remains semi-dry. Medium light embodiment... Drinkable, yet not exciting. BillKismet (1899), Seattle, Washington, USA Dec 28, 2007 Deep brass color a hue or two deeper than their pale ale. MIld malt aroma. Simple brew with some residual sugariness on the finish. Drinks like a blandish, but balanced amber. TomDecapolis (3130), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 3, 2007 Pours a translucent amber with golden notes and an average off white creamy head. Aroma of grains, pretzels and light citrus notes. Flavor of cereal grains some malty sweetness and light citrus. Touch of caramel malt.
