| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 28, 2009 On tap @ UBW. Pours a clear dark brown body with a small light brown nitro head. Nice coffee and roasty nose with a little nuttiness. Very dry roasty flavor, lots of black patent malt. Lingering burnt toast finish with light bitterness. Ususl thin nitro’d body, but the carbonation is actually a little prickly, the gas mix must be a little higher on the CO2 than most. Pretty good, if you’re into drier Stouts. Deceptive in its color, I thought that this was going to be lighter on the roast. Chipper (185), Red Lion, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 23, 2008 Draft at the brewery. Pretty dark color with a moderate tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and malt. Flavor was a little odd, as it tasted like high quality weed. (Not that I have done that in many, many, years.) That dominated the flavor, but the coffee and chocolate came thought slightly. BeerGestapo (738), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 23, 2008 On draught at the brewer. Almost opaque pour, deep ruby hues with a diminishing head. Dry roasted malts, with lots of herbs and nuts (almost vegetable). The finish is of pure black roasted coffee, spot on. Creamy mouthfeel with very low IBU’s make this not too bad.
