| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 6, 2007 Updated: Aug 9, 2007Draft glass Consumed at Union Barrel Works, July 2007 Nose is mostly maple and roast, more sweet than expected. Mildly dry and pasty texture, light roast tasted. Seems uncomplicated at first, with some more maple, char and roast taste, quite a simple flavor profile but there’s nothing wrong with that when it’s done well. Overall a bit dried than standard stout but not to the level of Irish Stout. Good stuff. hopdog (5614), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
