This was one fantastic stout, could have sat there all night & drank this one, very delicious & enjoyable, almost black in color, excellent lacing with the big & bold tan head, lots of roasted notes in the aroma, toasted grain, coffee & bread, medium-full body with flavors of oatmeal, a little rye bread, toasted grains & dark roasted coffee, very smooth finish with more roasted flavors with a subtle hint of cream, an awesome stout

Draft. Dark brownish black color with 1-finger khaki head. Aroma of roasty patent malts, chocoff, some molasses and ovaltine. The palate is hefty, with an overall dry flavor composed of dark malt, chocoff, smoked almond, some molasses, and some finishing hops. This one was great.

Really nice stout coming from a lager brewery. Pours a nice deep black with mild carbonation, and a lsting deep tan head. Aroma is loaded with roasted malts, good amount of chocolate, hints of tar, and a bit of smoke as well. Nice roast and acrid burnt malt flavor, chocolate and nutty notes, with a nice floral hop character at the end to balance out the black malt acidity. Solid stout.

Really nice stout, definitely the best brew on the menu. Deep toasty flavor, and lots of it. Perfect way to finish off a meal or the night in general.

good body, nice and dark, has a nutty/roast aroma, flavor is very very roasty, almost burnt tasting. It would be the equivalant of a very very well done burger, good brew.

On tap @ UBW. Pours a clear dark brown body with a small light brown nitro head. Nice coffee and roasty nose with a little nuttiness. Very dry roasty flavor, lots of black patent malt. Lingering burnt toast finish with light bitterness. Ususl thin nitro’d body, but the carbonation is actually a little prickly, the gas mix must be a little higher on the CO2 than most. Pretty good, if you’re into drier Stouts. Deceptive in its color, I thought that this was going to be lighter on the roast.

On tap at the Union Barrel Brew Pub. Poured a deep brown color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of roast (main aroma), with some chocolate, and coffee. Tastes of roast, chocolate, smoke, and coffee. This one was roasty all the way around. Body on the thinner side.

Pours a deep brown with ruby notes and a medium crew off white head. Aroma of chocolate, lightly roasted malts and hints of smoke. Flavor was a nice mix of roasted malts, dark chocolate, hints of coffee...nice stout.
