Deep mahogony in color, thick, stand-up head that lasted to the last sip. Lots of malt, chocolate, roasty toasty goodness and oh, so smooth. This beer tasted like "more". GREAT JOB! Aroma of roasty caramel/Munich malt, brown sugar, figs. Tastes caramel malty, with some brown sugar notes, figgy fruit, and some finishing hop hints. Stays fruity and malty throuhgout, and those two components balance each other well. JB175 (1664), Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is sweet and malty with some fresh bread in the nose. Flavor is thick and bready with some high quality malts, a smooth feel, and a bit of hop bitterness thrown in. Tasty D-bock – the best brew these guys had on tap. jehoey (766), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA

Pour ed a deep brown with a lasting imperial stoutish head. Complex, deep character, lots of roasted malts. Definitely a keeper. kmweaver (2459), Sebastopol, California, USA

Pours a hazy amber-brown color; light tan head with decent lacing. Candy and brown sugar in the aroma; pleasant hop bitterness on the perimeter. Medium-to-full, chewy mouthfeel: viscous candy sugar and citrus hops; slightly resiny; good density and pleasant viscosity in the mouth. Medium, sugary and malty finish. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 9, 2007 This bock got a bit too fruity, and even had hitns of plasticy phenols. Good deep dark ruby brownish red color, god head. The faults are trying to be covered up by a nice toasted and deep munich malt sweetness and nuttiness. Light chocolate and nut hints in the flavors, deep topasted malts, some thick sweetness. Ok mouthfeel- pretty smooth.
