Commercial Description:
The Upland Amber Ale has a malty almond/chocolate taste laced with a lush spicy hop flavor. Creamy body combined with robust maltiness makes this a warming beer indeed.

Pours clear, brown. Aroma is rather green with hops with a mild malt backing. Thinnish mouth feel with a lot of hop flavor. Not a lot in the way of malt to round it out, but not too bad.

Bottle. Full off white head the rapidly diminishes. Good clear caramel coloring. Finishes well with very slight hoppy aftertaste. Refreshing finish.

Draft. Copper color. Some hop flavor with almond, vanilla, and cedar hints. Watery mouthfeel that finishes somewhat sticky. Not even close to a favorite but somewhat unique for the genre.

Enjoyable thirst-quencher! A little thin on the palate, but this brew would suffer if it were thicker. Mildly hoppy, enough to produce a tang on the tongue but not enough to dry your cheeks out. Sweet but not cloying, tasty with full caramel, almond, and vanilla tones, plus a pleasant bit of clove (must not be much to be pleasant, since I don’t like cloves). Surprisingly bright but rich, with a nice *(stickyish) linger after.

A slight sweet malty aroma. An amber pour for sure with a thick off white head. A flavor of light malt with a decent bitter for the style. Not much on the palate but I wasn’t expecting much. A decent amber from a pretty decent brewery.

Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this bottle with me! Bottled Dec 05. Poured a copper color with a huge creamy, off-white head that left big chunks of lacing. The aroma found caramel malts and nuts. The flavor was a well balanced mix of malts and light hops. It also presented some grainy chalkiness. Light body and a dry texture. Thanks Stevo!

Nice looking hazy peach body with an enormous creamy almond head. Excellent retention and lavish clumpy lacing. Subtle aroma of grassy hops and caramel malt. Medium body is somewhat overcarbonated. Taste is well balanced. Grassy hop bitterness and grainy and toasty caramel malt. A pretty basic Amber but engaging and sessionable.

I liked the pour, a clear amber with a huge fizzy head. This turns rocky as the sides slowly collapse, leaving a cone in the center and thick lacing in its wake. It has a sweet, fruity aroma with caramel and a taste of nuts along with a light floral and orange hopping. The flavor is less complex, a sweet caramel with a nutty and floral bitterness. Not bad.

Note: My bottle’s label read "Hoosier Hops Amber Ale" and I’m awaiting a response from the brewery to verify that it’s the same beer.
