Update tap at Barcade. Tap is much better, fuller body, nothign off- just lots of full chocoalte matls with a slight earthy hop character. Nice 2.9-3.7 upgrade. Pours a nice deep brown with a frothy beige head. Aroma is nutty, chocolate and light caramel, but it is not really potent. Flavor is lightly sweet with a wierd sweet-tart candy like slight acidity and some light nutty chocolate malts. Carbonation is a bit high and with that slight tartness there may be a slight bacterial infection in there. Not a great porter by any means, but not terrible either.

Bottle. Agree, major carbination that offers heavy head at pour. Deep, dark coffee color. Aroma is light, hints of both burnt coffee and fruit. A little more bitter than past bottles. Harsh finish. Don’t know if I got a bad batch but not as good as I remember it being. In the past I recommended this, but now a rather pedestrian porter.

IT HAD A DARK APPEARENCE AND A PORTER TASTE.THE ENDING WAS SOUR AND BITTER NOT LIKE ANY PORTER I EVER HAD.IF YOU WANT A SOLID PORTER WITH GOOD FINISH STICK WITH 3FFF ALPHA KLAUS.THIS BEER FROM UPLAND DID NOTHING FOR ME.

Pour is dark dark brown/light black with a nice dense tan head...smell is herbal/vegetal with some toasty notes...taste is mildly toasty with some faint cocoa/coffee flavors...thin and watery and not really very good...

Pours dark brown with red hue.. Aroma is coffe and burnt malt. Palate is thin and watery. tastes of coffee with bright citrus. Finishes dry and overly sour. Not one of my favorites from Upland.

On tap: Pours black with reddish tones that has the appearance of a Cola. Small head is light brown and diminishes quickly. Aroma is sweet and the body is rather thin on the palate leaving a dry bitter finish. My next Porter will not be this one!

12 oz bottle. Whoa! Major carbonation here. Took a minute to pour and then my pint glass was just beginning to overflow due to the size of the head. Fairly tight tan head and dark bown body. Not much aroma - what there is seems to be a bit earthy? With some roasted malt. Body is a bit thin and there’s some chocolate and more roasted and toasted malt. There’s some subtle hops and some more raosted malt in the finish. Not my favorite but a decent porter.

Bottle purchased at some random store in Bloomington. Pours ridiculously. Head is 99% of the beer. Light pour too... ridiculous. Aroma is burnt malts... not roasted, but burnt. Flavor is the same... once you get past the head. Completely unimpressed.
