Commercial Description:
Creamy chocolate flavors combine with a lightly roasted finish and superb body to balance this traditional brown porter. A fragrant malt/hop aroma and herbaceous hop flavor complete this highly quaffable ale.

12oz bottle acquired in trade with atpayne (thanks!). Poured a dark (see through) brown color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of roast, chocolate, coffee and toffee. Tastes of roast, chocolate, caramel with a light coffee bitter finish. Thinner body.

(Bottle) Pours a very dark brown (almost black) color with a thin tan head. Has an aroma of chocolate, malt, and coffee. Flavors of coffee, malt and a little bitter for my liking.

Pours a transparent dark mahogany with a large, over-carbonated, well-lacing tan head. Aroma is best summarized as burnt chocolate chip cookies. Body starts foamy and lightly dark caramely sweet with a lot of burnt roasty notes throughout. FInishes a little thinner with some lingering black malt, cookie dough, and peppery, spicy hops. This recipe needs a little less of the burnt flavor.

12oz bottle-pours a big foamy tan head and black color with effervescence. Aroma is dark malt-chocolate/cocoa, some dark fruit. Taste is dark malt-chocolate/cocoa/coffee, some dark fruit, some hops bite. Ok carbonation. Coffee aftertaste. Nice but not my style.
