| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 31, 2009 Nose of sour berries, pineapple juice, and overall, well...nicely juicy I must say with even some dessertish powdered sugar notes. The color of this beer here was pink..it had a halo of suds atop. The flavor starts sour but that ends pretty abruptly and the ending is more on the sweet side than anything else. I like the nice vivid strawberry flavors though...the sweet and sour interplay is quite nice, in fact, though both may be deemed subdued to most palates. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA

Cloudy amber with a pink tinged head. Funked out berry nose, woody and musty. Sour berry flavors, earthy and funky, oak and vanilla. I thought this was pretty awesome! gunhaver (1043), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 24, 2009 Bottle, courtesy tpd675. Very hazy mango color, slick lacing and no head. Very tart yeasty nose, some syrupy blackberry, pancakes. Slight tart flavors, some blackberry, malty caramel. Nice and smooth, balanced, and interesting, but really nothing exciting. beerbill (1975), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 24, 2009 750 ml bottle courtesy of a trade with pnista. Pours a hazy golden amber with a thin, somewhat fizzy, linen white head that quickly faded to an uneven film and left very little lace. The aroma is very pleasant with lots of sour notes, yeast, and tart berries. The blackberries themselves are not distinct in the aroma. They are, however, easily identifiable in the flavor, along with yeast, oak, and apple cider vinegar. The tartness from the berries lingers on the palate for several seconds beyond the swallow. Quite nice. TheEpeeist (1480), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 8, 2009 25.4 oz bottle. Clear, then murky, pink brown with a quick settling bone head. Nose is leather, lemon peel and faint berries. Very smooth with lively but subdued carb. Taste pairs tart blackberries and lemon yoghurt. Dry, earthy finish. Delicate sweetness, mild funk. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 6, 2009 Bottle in trade from bobby91w and pnista as a bonus I believe. Thanks! Pours orange to red with a short lived beige head. Smell is tart, and fruity. Taste is sour and fruity but not with definitive blackberry flavor. Medium body and normal carbonation. Acidic and sharp flavor. Pretty good stuff. DalzAle (510), Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 3, 2009 Bottle from Stfun (Thanks!) Pour was slightly pink and well carbonated. Aroma was plenty of sour funk, and a little noticable fruit. Flavor was tons of sour right in your face immediately, then mellowed into a slightly fruity finish with a creamy mouthfeel. Very good! | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 2, 2009 Probably one of the two best of the Upland fruit lambics, along with the raspberry.. Fruit and yeast in the complex, acidic aroma. Very light pickle brine in the flavor, along with fruit. It is perceivable as a berry, but not necessarily as blackberry. Nice pink color. Moderate carbonation.
