Light fruity flavor that actually reminds me of blueberries more than blackberries. emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Apr 19, 2009 Thanks tjthresh! Pours a murky pink grapefruit colored brew with a one finger offwhite head. The nose was fruity, yeasty, very mild indicators of tartness/acidity, then a strange caramelly sweetness. The flavor was nice and fruity, had more acidity than the other Upland lambics, leads into the caramel flavor I got in the nose. Very interesting. Palate was mildly carbonated with a nice refreshing acidity. BDR (2168), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 18, 2009 Same funky character that all uplands have. Faint blackberry, almost dried. Acidic enough that gives it a pickle brine flavor. A little blackberry flavor. biggcb (464), Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 13, 2009 Bottle (thanks Sprinkle). Pours a hazy reddish/amber color with a smallish off-white head. Aroma is vinegar, yeast and some blackberry. On the sour side, but refreshing. Tart. Some fruit notes, but not sure I would say I got blackberry. Tasty. kiefdog (1634), Tampa, Florida, USA

Nose is yeast, vinegar, sour fruit, and some stinging malt. Flavor is lots of vinegar witn notes of sour fruit, but not a lot of specifically blackberry flavor. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 3, 2009 Courtesy of tpd975. Pours hazy grapefruit – puke with thin white head. The aroma is nice and berry like followed by modest crushed aspirin tartness. The taste has a pulse of sweet malts and sweet berry-ness that quickly recede into more and more berry skin tartness and aspirin dust but maintaining a bit of balance.
