Commercial Description:
In the spring of 2006, I brewed 300 gallons of top-fermented beer using wild yeast to create a Belgian-style Lambic. We conditioned the beer in oak casks and then initiated a secondary fermentation in the casks using whole fruit from Huber’s Orchard in Starlight, Indiana. You should experience a tart, almost sour taste balanced by the aromatic and richly flavorful addition of whole blackberries - perfect to share with friends, and a platter of good cheese and fresh fruit. - Caleb Staton, Head Brewer

Pours a reddish purplish color with a pretty big white head. Pretty solid carbonation. Aroma was sour, tart, and lightly fruity. Flavor had a nice sourness to it and some berries. A decent amount of acidity. Pretty solid beer that i would drink again.

SourFest II. Courtesy of Skyview. Orange color with no head. No real aroma at all. Light fruity flavor that actually reminds me of blueberries more than blackberries.

Thanks tjthresh! Pours a murky pink grapefruit colored brew with a one finger offwhite head. The nose was fruity, yeasty, very mild indicators of tartness/acidity, then a strange caramelly sweetness. The flavor was nice and fruity, had more acidity than the other Upland lambics, leads into the caramel flavor I got in the nose. Very interesting. Palate was mildly carbonated with a nice refreshing acidity.

Same funky character that all uplands have. Faint blackberry, almost dried. Acidic enough that gives it a pickle brine flavor. A little blackberry flavor.

Bottle (thanks Sprinkle). Pours a hazy reddish/amber color with a smallish off-white head. Aroma is vinegar, yeast and some blackberry. On the sour side, but refreshing. Tart. Some fruit notes, but not sure I would say I got blackberry. Tasty.

Bottle courtesy of tpd975. Pours a hazy ruby red grapefruit color with thin head. Aroma is tart with floral notes and ripe fresh fruit, yeast, some bready-tartness. Flavor is generally sour over-ripe fruit with notes of berries, yeast, some grassy and breadiness, overripe blackberry. Generally light to medium body with a tart finish.

Thanks tpd975 for the share. Pours red-yellow-brown with a haze around it. Nose is yeast, vinegar, sour fruit, and some stinging malt. Flavor is lots of vinegar witn notes of sour fruit, but not a lot of specifically blackberry flavor. Light to medium-bodied with a tart vinegary finish.

Courtesy of tpd975. Pours hazy grapefruit – puke with thin white head. The aroma is nice and berry like followed by modest crushed aspirin tartness. The taste has a pulse of sweet malts and sweet berry-ness that quickly recede into more and more berry skin tartness and aspirin dust but maintaining a bit of balance.
