Another one of the neat things hiding out in the volunteer tent late at night on Saturday of BCTC. Had this a little bit after having Blåbær, so while this probably would have been the star of many shows, it didn’t get top billing that night. Pours a nice purple brown. Light blueberry aromas and soft hay. Light brett crispness and some nice tangy vinegar notes. Finishes with a long tangy edge. Tasty.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 5, 2009 Bottle with thanks to tjthresh. Pours a deeply purplish brown with some soapy bubbles that are not carbonation (sadly) but just bubbles forming from the sloshing. They die quickly leaving a slightly foreboding-looking brew. Aromas are nice, though. Lots of lambic funk and tartness with a little bit of blueberry (or some fruit that I choose to identify as blueberry for obvious reasons.) Flavor simply does not live up to the expectations set forth in the nose, however. It has a bit of fruit and a bit of tartness to it, but it comes off as pretty watery, which when coupled with the lack of carbonation makes for a pretty good mess of a beer. I would hope that next year’s batch is considerably better than this... because this just ain’t it. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Jul 17, 2009 Bottle in trade. Thanks. Smell is sour, winelike and blueberry. Taste is blueberry, and strong fresh fruitiness. Lightly tart. Very low carbonation. Medium body. Tasted most like the fruit used of all Upland lambics, I thought. Likes like cloudy, purple beet juice in the glass. petematte46 (226), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jul 4, 2009 So disappointing . I actually traded away an aged HOTD Adam among a few others for this. Where is the blueberry? Where is the Lambic? What the hell did I just drink? No carbonation, overly sweet, no lacing nor any kind of a nose, tasted like a poorly made Kreik. Do not trade for this beer!!!!!!! No joke, I would rather drink Coors Extra Gold. bu11zeye (5621), Frisco, Texas, USA

Aroma of blueberry, earth, light vinegar, and some horse blanket. Flavor of blueberries, subtle sourness, and wood. TheBeerOrg (1586), Kentucky, USA
