Commercial Description:
In the spring of 2006, I brewed 300 gallons of top-fermented beer using wild yeast to create a Belgian-style Lambic. We conditioned the beer in oak casks and then initiated a secondary fermentation in the casks using whole fruit from Huber's Orchard in Starlight, Indiana. You should experience a tart, almost sour taste balanced by the aromatic and richly flavorful addition of whole blueberries - perfect to share with friends, and a platter of good cheese and fresh fruit. - Caleb Staton, Head Brewer

bottle by way of ucusty... actually blueberry juice colored with no carbonation. this is quite stinky... sour grain and very lambic-like with little to no blueberry noticeable on the nose. there are aromas of tart lemon and a touch of smoky wood as well. the palate is bone dry and a bit sour. the blueberry shows up (barely) but more like tart, unripe and frozen with a bunch of water in them. most of the flavor is straight lambic, grain and a little funk with a dry herbaceous finish. medium body is smooth but only because it lacks carbonation.6/4/6/3/12/3.1

2008 bottle shared by ygtbsm94: Pours a transparent dark ruby red with a small ring of bubbles, but mostly still. Aroma of fresh sweet and tart blueberries with a touch of oak and funk. Starts with an oily texture and mild sweetness with good oaky tart balance and blueberry fruitiness before a semi-dry, mild finish. Pretty smooth, but could use more carbonation and tartness.

Bottle. Poured a hazy red color with almost no head. Had a blueberry aroma, a light body, thin texture, almost no carbonation, and a tart blueberry taste. Overall, I was disappointed with this beer. I don’t know if I got a bad bottle, but there was barely any carbonation which made it seem like I was drinking a sweet wine instead of a beer. I would try it again just to see if this first bottle was a bad one.

Crushed with CaryTheDude and Jakebra. Reddish pour, with an aroma of guezey sour, cheese, funk and light berries. Flavor is guezey with some blueberries. The blueberries werent as weird as I thought they’d be, but I think it lambics are better with tarter fruits. Otherwise, fun to drink.

Sampled at hellbilly’s hellraiser 3 gathering. Bottle courtesy of hellbilly. Purple pour with no head. Aroma and flavor of sour unripe berries and a bit of funk. A bit flat on the palate, but not bad at all! Thanks Josh!

Another big thanks to Honkeybra for hooking me up with this one. Crushed with Jakebra and Honkeybra. Some sour gueuze notes, little funk, blueberries, and a kind of funky smooth cheese on the nose. Flavor is dominated by blueberries with some gueuze sourness coming through in the finish. Not incredible, but still very nice, and very solid. No problems drinking this one.

750 ml bottle - courtesy of hannot i think at the HOTD dock sale; near bottom of the bottle, so a quite hazy and oddly beautiful dark purple; fizzy, tarty, blackberry, fruity; lots of tart and soft texture; a little one dimensional like the others and not as together as the strawberry (my fav of the 3-4 i’ve tried)

(750ml bottle, thanks ygbtbsm) Minimal head completely dissipates, atop clear violet body. Aroma is medium sweet, sour, blueberry, some funk, light wood. Taste is moderately sweet, blueberry, sour, some funk. Undercarbonated light-medium body, lightly sticky.
