| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 8, 2006 700th rating. Two draught pints of this tonight at the pub... my first saison. Potent aroma, heavy yeast and spices (notably coriander and orange rind), honey, malt, light citric hops, and extreme amount of herbiness. Clear orange pour with a short creamy white head. Same notes in the mouth as in the nose, though with dominant florality and pronounced spiciness. Medium sourness. Medium-thin body, sweet with lemon and heather. This needs to be paired with food - spiciness and sweetness were too much by the end. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 6, 2006 On tap at brewpub. I had this a few months ago and this thing was a beast. The flavors were way too herbal then, but since then it has mellowed out tremendously and is quite drinkable. (They haven’t brewed a Saison since November so this was probably just sitting around). A hazy gold with a nice looking light head. the aroma is quite a bouqet or fragrances as is par for the style; herbal and floral with citrus, banana and cloves and hints of honey and anise. The palate is surprisingly smooth and almost creamy on the tongue. The flavors, while strong dovetail very nicely into a spicey refreshing range of flavors. Not a bad brew. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 11, 2008 Pours a cloudy yellow body with a medium sized white head. Taste is typical spice from a saison, and very enticing. aromas of cinnamon, lemon and bubble gum. various other hints of cloves, and grass as well. kmeves (1081), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 30, 2007 Cloudy orange color, big frothy white head. Light coriander, orange, yeast and earthy aroma. Flavor is a bit more spicy and starts out sweet then becomes more dry. Medium body and carbonation. Probably one of the more traditional American made Saisons that I have had, they avoided the overwhelming coriander flavor that most domestics of this style seem to have in common. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 23, 2007 Sample at Indiana Microbrewers Festival - Aroma is spicy but not much else going on after that. Pours transparent light orange with a small head. Flavor is ginger, white pepper, clove and lots of lemon. Palate is crisp and a little thin. Overall this is an easy drinking session saison, but I prefer mine to have a bit more of a yeasty body and a little funk that this brew doesn’t have.
