Nicely conditioned, very nice salmony pink color, very effervescent. Light palated. Good cheery flavor, if a little sweet. A nice mix of pedio and lactic, some acetic shines through, bright and airy, not the most challenging beer. I recall this being the best of the bunch many moons ago at the event in Indianapolis and it has aged pretty well! Easy drinker.

Bottle thanks to someone at my table at the Grand Tasting. Very nice orangey hazy pour. Aroma is tart fruit and I think cherry skins. Light belgian ale aspects and good amount of sourness, with rich brown ale sweetness underneath as well.

RBSG09 bottle at the grand tasting. Thanks whoever brought this! Pours a dark orangey goldenrod hue with a fluffy white head. Sour lemony aroma with some faint cherry pit notes. Tart and lemony, acidic, no real cherry flavor. Some wood and yeast there too. Effervescent and light bodied.

Bottle 75cl. @ Chriso’s pre GBBF Shindig ’09.
Unclear medium red orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate apricos, tar, barnyard, light cherry, oak. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light to moderate acidic with a average to long duration, and a dry finish. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is flat. Not as complex as some of the belgium stoff but okay. [20090801]

Generously shared with bhensonb. This reddish orange lambic poured with a thin pinkish head and an acidic fruit aroma. There is a delicate cherry flavor with some carbonation and a bitter finish. Doesn’t have the yeasty characteristics of a traditional Belgian lambic, but it tastes real good.

Bottle from bulldogp04. Thanks a bunch Dean. Sharing this one with Marcus. Pours a reddish hazy color with a short term white head. Aromas of sour cherry and spice. Medium body with mildly fizzy carbonation. Flavors of cooking cherry and wood, and a definite bit of barnyard. Rather tart. Clean finish. It’s not Belgian, but it’s really tasty.

Not sure who shared this with me, but thanks! Pours a hazy dull pinkish red with some woody copper undertones, and a fizzy head. Aroma is nice sour cherry- quite fruity overall, with a sour and funk note, light soapyness with hints of meat and salt. Flavor is tart cherries, pitty, wood, cyanide pit flavor, salt, sour and brine-like with a dulling and fading cherry flavor- finishes tart and mostly sour but ends a bit weak overall. Still pretty good and I liked it.

Big thanks to Miver for hooking me up with this one. Thanks man! Light pink pour with barely any head. Sour aroma with notes of ripe cherries, funk, barrel. Flavor is tart, really well-balanced with the cherries. Decent carbonation, musty finish. Really surprised by the balance in this one
