Upland Cherry Lambic

Sampled during Skyview Sourfest II in St Paul, MN. From 750 ml bottle pours a hazy pinkish gold brew with a thin pink head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and off-white ring. Aroma of tart cherries, yeast, some white crackers, and oak. Taste is slightly sweet, some carbonation with flavors of tart cherries, yeast, and a hint of barnyard funk. Finish is semi-sweet with a light tart cherry aftertaste that quickly disappears.

Nice faint hazy peach red color. Funk, and enough cherry to be recognizable. Same funk as in most Uplands. Cherry and stale barnyard.

bottle shared by psprings along with a bunch of other upland lambics... cloudy pinkish orange pour... much more foam on top of this one when compared to the others. honestly, i could have taken the descriptions i wrote for the others and substituted ’cherry ’ for what ever other fruit lambic it was... the only major difference was a slight cherry smell and a tannic presence on the finish from the skins. it is clean with a bit more of a prickly lively mouth feel than the others...7/4/7/4/15/3.7

Had some of this at a beer gathering this evening. Colour... rose water pink with a slight off white head. Nose... pie cherries, yeast, cake soap. Palate... definetly dry, tart, Montmorency cherries(?), cherry pits, or at least slightly tannic A reasonable attempt but not quite my piece of pie!

Bottle... Poured a hazy pink-peach with a thin, white head. Aroma of fruit and soap. Insanely dry and certainly cleared my nostrils. Well carbonated with fruity and tart flavors A little too cracker or biscuity and soapy.

Bottle, shared by Ethan. Thanks. While not the sourest guy on the block, at least this lambic shows some promise. As noted, the pour is much more carbonated than the other Upland lambics I have sampled. Flavor is mildly tart cherry, cherry skins, some wood. Tannic, still palate. Solid, but not too lively. Hopefully some time will do it well.

Bottle shared by emacgee. Peachish pink cloudy pour with a gauzy white head. Tastes of dark cherry and not as sour as some others. Nothing too crazy here, but solid. Palate was actually a bit prickly.
