Tastes of dark cherry and not as sour as some others. Nothing too crazy here, but solid. Palate was actually a bit prickly. JCB (1799), Durham, North Carolina, USA

Surprisingly well carbonated - maybe these Uplands are starting to come together, if this nice and full pour is anything to go by. The nose is fairly modest, with only a hint of mild cherry in there along with pleasant and unassertive oakiness. Very mellow and drinkable lambic, that’s for sure. Not much depth to it, I suppose, but there are nice hints of dark cherry skin that start to come through as the beer opens up. emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 19, 2009 Thanks tjthresh! pours a murky light pink with a fizzy offwhite head. More carbonation than yhe other Uplands I’ve had. The nose shows cherry, very yeasty, acidity, mild barrel character. Flavor is pretty straight forward cherry, mildly tannic. Palate has a mild tart bite to it. All of these lambics seem to be pretty straightforward and one dimensional but well done in that aspect. travita (1970), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 28, 2009 750 ml capped and corked bottle courtesy of tjthresh. Pour is hazy / cloudy orange yellow with a nice two inch crackling white head. Head that falls fast. Aroma of tart sour cherries and oak woodiness. A hint of funk. Very bright nose, fresh and alive. You can smell cherry fruit, skin, pits, really the whole cherry fruit represented. Nice nose. Taste is sour cherry fruit, very dry. The wood is present immediately, though it is strongest in the finish, which it very much carries. The sweetness is very bright and electric, almost beyond just the fruit. Some funk and leather taste is present as well. The main story is the sour tartness, though, and this is one is very prickly in the mouth. Delicious. Palate is dry and highly carbonated. My favorite of the Upland bunch so far. Thanks again for sending these to me Tom. BMan1113VR (2958), Los Angeles (and Dallas), Texas, USA

Taste is sweet and fruity with berry preserves, and a light tart-citrus edge. Lively mouthfeel and dry. Very easy to drink.
