Commercial Description:
Chocolate Stout: A very dark, robust beer. Chocolate, pale, and roasted malts, rolled oats and spicy hops were used to brew this beer, promoting a coffee-like flavor with hint s of dark bitter chocolate. Organic chocolate was added in conditioning to create a complex chocolate finish.

Draft. Poured a black color with a average light brown head. Average aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Flavor and body was a moderate well balanced stout with a medium dry finish. OK for style.

Black Coloring with Sandy Ring. Chocolate and Coffee Roasts Aroma. Instant Hit of Sweet Mocha Hits the Tongue...Smooth Chocolate and Coffee Melting Together. The Flavor Isn’t Quite Right On but It’s Balanced Well Enough.

I had this right after the Bells Cream, and the flavor of this paled in comparison. Very nice pour, dark and thinck with a frothy chocolate head. Aroma is chocolate and malt. Very creamy and smooth, but slightly lacking in flavor. Has some malt and creamy chocolate. but not a lot of complexity or stength.

Black color with no head. Bold bitter chocolate aroma. More of the same in the taste with some plain malt and some noticeable roasted malt that bitters this much more than a sweet stout would usually be. I missed the coffe. Swell beer!

Deep brown body, medium cream/light tan head. Chocolate and a touch of coffee in addition to roasted notes comprise the aroma. Creamy, rich body, with dark chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, a touch of licorice, and a chalky bite. Roasty finish. Quaffable? Yes. Unique? No. Do I still like this beer? Yes. Would I drink another? Yes. Did I just break pattern? Yes. Do I care? No.

Opaque with nice full tan head. The aroma is a bit malty, chocolate and roasted mostly. There is also a definate strong coffee aroma and a hit of sweet malt. The flavor has the same roasty and chocolate malt that is present in the aroma, but the chocolate has a chalky character and some muted coffee provides depth. A little bitterness closes the door on the roasted malt. There is a sweet and seemingly chalky chocolate finish and it is also smooth and roasted. Nice stout, to be top notch it probably needs more depth.

Deep, dark black with a medium tan head. The aroma is fully roasty and chocolaty...very inticing! The flavor is well roasted with lots of coffee and bittersweet chocolate...definite lactic sourness in the aftertaste. Medium thin feel...very crisp. I’ll agree with my wife and say that this is "very tasty." Thanks mike.

Opaque black color with a medium tan head. Nice strong chocolate and coffee aroma. Roasted coffee, bitter chocolate, sweet malt and lactose flavors. Somewhat thin feel, but very tasty!
