Nice dark amber color, with a small head. Flavor is really smooth for an IPA. Not really bitter. More malt then hops. Medium texture. Over all a decent IPA. Thanks Josh! StFun (534), Indiana, USA

This is similar to Two Hearted in that its creamy and smooth, while still hoppy and tasty. Not an overpowering IPA, not tart or tangy or strong like a lot (and I like those too), but I like that Upland went a different direction with this one. Big flowers on the aroma, and just slightly bitter on the back end, but is dominated by creamy and citrus. Pretty good. entropy666 (11), Terre Haute, Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 1, 2008 Very thick stiff foamy head. Excessively carbonated to the point that it was difficult to pour. Dark amber color. Very little hop aroma for an IPA. Sweet and not nearly enough hop bitterness for an IPA. I have tasted Dragonfly previously and it seems to taste quite a bit different each time. This sort of inconsistency is characteristic of amateurish breweries like Upland. In short, an amber ale that tastes very little like an IPA but may sometimes taste like an IPA depending upon the batch. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

Pours out an ample sized off-white head that sits above a hazy deep orange
Muted citrus hop aroma, some faint pine.
The flavor balance is towards the bitter side, some drying in the finish along with an ever present astringent factor that detracts.
A tad over carbonated for my tastes. kramer (2469), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 9, 2008 12 oz bottle, via yjb. Pours a hazy orangish copper body under a small fizzy off-white head that faded quickly to a wispy film. The nose is pretty light, just a touch of citrusy and floral hops over a slightly grainy toasted malt body. The flavor is minimally hoppy with very light bitterness. I’m also getting a lingering buttery note in the background that’s a big turnoff for me. The malt is just a little tired and bland, and adds to the overall lack of crispness in the beer. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a slight clinginess in the finish. Moderate soft carbonation. Overall, this just was nowhere near aggressive enough to cross the boundary into IPA territory. More of a weak uninspired APA, and not a pleasant one at that. mgoy (343), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA

While not an overload of hopps, Dragonfly is very bitter tasting with a clean and quick finish. jason (1623), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
