Bottle courtesy of lewis13. Bottled December ’06. Pours a clear golden-orange with massive long-lasting foamy off-white head. Aroma starts off oddly with some light sourness followed by grain, malt and citrus hops -- sour? I’m wondering if this beer is off? Flavour: Again some light sour fruit followed by malt, light citrus hops and a bitter yet slightly unpleasant unbalanced finish. This must be past it’s prime, at least I hope it doesn’t taste like this fresh, but based on some of the other ratings maybe it does. Medium bodied. Not at all what I look for in a IPA, I wound up dumping some of it.

Pours a clear honey orange with little head. The nose is citrusy with a blast of unrefined sugar to sweeten things. The body is moderately hopped, but not enough so to balance the caramel sweetness of the malts. This could definitely be more bitter to balance the sugars. Still though, a decent session IPA.

12oz bottle from EithCubes - thanks! Oh, the amount of this I drank in grad school . . . this takes me back. Fairly dark, very fluffy head (and a surprisingly lively mouthfeel, almost lustrous I’d say), but the taste is a bit rougher than I remember. Very grassy and earthy in the hops, but with a nice chewy malt backbone. A nice trip down memory lane and a solid session IPA.

Smelled like ketchup - vinegar, tart fruit. Orange, big head. Nothing special about the appearance. Tangy. Belgian-esque, woody. Medium sweet. A bit rough and homebrew-y. McNiven’s, Indianapolis, bottle.

12oz bottle pours dark amber with a pretty good sized offwhite head. Aromas of caramel malts and floral hops. Flavor is surprisingly malty. Lots of caramel there but also a good bit of citrus, grapefruit hops. Finishes somewhat bitter and dry. Fairly well balanced and surprisingly much tastier than I expected it to be! Not bad.

Clear dark copper color with a big, long lasting, off-white head. Aroma of mild floral hops and malt. Flavor of malt, a little spice and floral hops. Finish is pretty hoppy and bitter. A pretty good and unique IPA.

This one was another solid beer i received in a trade. Very smooth and easily drank beer. Not the hoppieness i ant from an IPA but still a good beer overall. The smell and drinkablity were both really good. This is a perfect session beer.

This is a "big" IPA all the way, in both flavor and mouthfeel. It is distinct from other IPAs/APAs in that the flavor is neither raw bitterness nor citrus-iness but rather an overt and powerful floral taste I’ve not previously experienced. Appearance is quite good. It is a fairly reddish orange color, hazy, an abundant white head. Aroma is fairly mild given the big bold taste, which as I described above is a unique flowery taste (which is not a bad thing). Mouthfeel is sticky, full and what I would expect from a beer like this. Recommended.
