Commercial Description:
The Upland Dragonfly IPA is a malty and hoppy brew. Note the clean malty fullness on the front of the palate with fruity citrus overtones, attributable to our special hops. Dry hopping creates a floral aroma, and our use of bittering hops lends a strong bitter taste in the back of the tongue and throat.

Pours a hazy deep copper with a thin lasting head. Aroam is of straight DMS with hints of off phenols with practically no hops. Lighttly stale malt, hints of herbal tea-like hops, astringent bitterness, more phenols and more DMS. Has a soft herbal palate and medium body.

Bottle. Rich orange pour with a thick, creamy, lacing cream head. Strong carbonation. Aroma is heavy on the hoppiness with medium-strong fruitiness. Taste holds a good bitterness but not as much as some other IPAs. Nice touch of tartness along with that nice hoppiness. Creamy-smooth, velvet and silk. Very dry. Overall, fantastic beer for pizza or those summery nights on the porch.

On tap in Muncie. Fresh citrusy-flowery hop aroma, bright orange color, moderate head, nice crip bitter taste with caramel and finish of pine and lemon peel. Very refreshing.

Bottled in Jan. 06: Pours a clear copper orange with a thin-lacing, short-lived, frothy off-white head. Aroma has nice mild piney hop presence with some toasty caramel malt and light hint of tart fruit. Body starts with a lightly sweet caramel maltiness with some toasted notes and well-balanced with some citrusy hops. Very drinkable, but could use a more assertive hoppy presence. Still, a pretty decent IPA.

12 oz bottle: poured orange with very little head. The beer may be a little too cold but I’m thirsty. Moderate citrusy hop aroma with a little alcohol bite. Flavor is moderately hoppy but had some metallic notes in there. Light citrus. Mild bitter finish with some sweetness at the back of the throat. Decent.

Poured a slightly hazed amber color with a think off-white head. Sweet aroma smelled like candy and tangerines. Malty start to the flavor. Light citrus notes are mixed in. The beer finishes with a mild dry bitterness.

Slightly hazed copper. The aroma is hoppy with a berry-like fruitiness. The flavor is malt centric up front. Mellow. Hop bitterness is a bit disappointing.
