Commercial Description:
The Upland Dragonfly IPA is a malty and hoppy brew. Note the clean malty fullness on the front of the palate with fruity citrus overtones, attributable to our special hops. Dry hopping creates a floral aroma, and our use of bittering hops lends a strong bitter taste in the back of the tongue and throat.

Pours a pale amber body with a pillow-like beige head. Grassy, floral, malt aromas. Floral hops, malt sweetness, candied flavors. Little bitter, resinous, smooth body brew. Mellow.

Bottle from Wise Guys in Schererville. Pretty standar looking IPA, hazy orange, white head. Nose is a bit malty, though hops do shine through nicely. On taste, it starts out overly malty, minimal bitterness then diacetyl. Which has no place in an IPA. Ever. It killed it for me, but I’ll re-rate.

This is an OK IPA. Sort of weak aroma, but the flavor has some nice pine, hops, bitterness, and a little citrus. However, they all combine into an overall flavor that is sort of pedestrian and unremarkable. Not enough malt for me, and the flavor isn’t particularly balanced. The better IPA’s have superior balance and more complexity. This one isn’t bad, but I probably won’t seek it out again.

I love giving the first review after the last was a few years past. Cloudy copper with some noticeable sediment. Nose is weak, floral and lightly hopped but thats about it. Taste was just borning. It wasn’t bad, it was a little subpar, but i could see drinking a handful of these in a sitting. Totally easy beginner IPA for non IPA drinkers.

( 12oz bottle) Pours clear orange with no head. Nose of light citrus hops. Taste is bitter citrus peel, and lingers the same way. One dimensional for me.
