Commercial Description:
The Upland Dragonfly IPA is a malty and hoppy brew. Note the clean malty fullness on the front of the palate with fruity citrus overtones, attributable to our special hops. Dry hopping creates a floral aroma, and our use of bittering hops lends a strong bitter taste in the back of the tongue and throat.

Bottle thanks to thirdeye11. Pours a light gold with white fizzy head. Aroma of simple piney hops and malt. Flavor is the same with a nice little bitter. Mouth feel is light-medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, not bad.

Bottle courtesy of thirdeye11. Hazy yellow color. Hops are the first thing apparent on the nose. Sweet and bitter. Taste is way smooth upfront with the hop spice unfurling several seconds after the finish. Dry and zesty on the aftertaste. Interesting.

Bottle thanks to thirdeye11. Pours with a clear golden body and a small white head. Aroma of honeysuckle, citrus and caramel. Taste is grainy with a bit of alcohol poking through, and some citrus hops. Dry residual sugar and light bubbles.

Bright orange amber with a full, creamy beige head. Glass-coating lace. Bright citrus hops aroma with a bit of lightly caramelized malt aroma, in the vein of cream soda. First sip was very impressive, floral aromatic hops nicely offsets a vanilla malt sweetness, while the hops bitterness and a bit of yeasty funk are well harmonized. Somewhat husky finish. Continuing down the glass though, I became quickly acclimated to everything but the malt. The beer becomes sweet, cake batter with orange juice flavoring. Still tasty, but definitely not the initial wow. Medium to full body, creamy on the palate.

Pour is a bright orange with a small white head. Aroma is floral hops with some toasted malt. Flavor is a light hop with a strong malt backbone. This is just average at best as the malts dominate anything the hops bring to the table.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of Bockyhorsey - Pours a hazy amber color with a 3/4 finger thick off white head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is toasted malt, esters, and light floral hops. Flavor is light malt and hops. Not much going on here. Medium body. Worth a try. Thanks Bill.

Bottle in motel room in middle-of-nowhere Indiana. Pours hazy orange-amber with a decent off-white head. Smells grainy, grassy, floral, with a little caramel. Taste is mostly caramel and oat with a vague suggestion of hops. Medium bodied with a rich, malty finish. Not what I was looking for in an IPA. Maybe I’d have enjoyed it more in a different bottle. Too bad I couldn’t find any of their lambics- looks like that would have gone over a lot better.

Beautiful golden bronze with a rich creamy tannish white head. Hops hit the nose. First taste is hoppy with a clear crisp finish. Nice creamy texture. Sure to be a favorite with hopheads everywhere. Great with smoked meats and fish; also pairs well with barbequed foods.
