The nose seems to feature lots of bisuity malts with a bit of earthy hops. I bit more hop character in the flavor, but still plenty of hop. This really seems to be perfectly balanced. Medium body and very dry. Totally refreshing. So easy to drink. angolajones (14), Angola, Indiana, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2009 Nice golden honey color with a thin white head. Nose is hoppy. Mouthfeel is vey creamy. Hops predominate taste but malt and grains come through too. Very nice aftertaste, dry and flavorful. A very good pale ale that pairs well with a variety of foods, especially smoked salmon or roast pork or fowl. pinion (5), , Indiana, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 17, 2009 Pours with a thick head, two fingers worth into a pint glass. Hazy orange color with some bubbles bringing the bottom of the bottle yeast to the top. Lemony citrus smell that is hard to pick up on. Some tasty hop flavor comes through on this and mixes great with the maltiness to give a slightly bitter slightly sweet taste. Impressive. This one seems very sessionable and I wish I had more than one. Cornfield (4938), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 30, 2009 Bottle from Pat’s Liquors in Porter, Indiana: This poured a clear straw/gold body with a modest head that didn’t want to linger too long. The aroma was promising - hoppy grapefruit-zest-tangerine-pine scents and the smell of sweet pale malt. Both were present in the flavor, but the hops had an oddly astringent bite. Nice dry, quietly bitter finish. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2009 Bottle.Ivory head with good retention span. Transparent body, no visible carbonation, excellent lacing, and a golden hue. The aroma was crisp citrus hops, pale malt and some caramel. Ditto for the flavor with a dry finish. Tingly mouthfeel and light in body. Nicely balanced APA, very drinkable, not over-the-top hoppy tasting even though the hops tend to linger a bit, and a nice summertime APA worthy of a try and an APA that I would drink again. patrick767 (2033), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 30, 2009 bottle - Pours hazy yellow-orange with a one finger white head. It has an enjoyable aroma of hops with grapefruit and other citrus fruits. The flavor is moderately hopped with citrus notes. It’s sweet, but the caramel malt character is weak until it warms up considerably. Crisp hops lingers pleasantly in the finish. kuphish (158), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 28, 2009 Bottle. Pours an average sized, frothy, off-white head with a clear, golden body. Light malt aromas accompanied by crisp, citrusy hops...some orange and a bit of pine. Light, refreshing, somewhat sweet body with average carbonation and a bitter finish. Overall a very drinkable, refreshing summertime beer. Nothing complicated, but in this case that’s a good thing.
