On tap at brewpub. Pours a clear yellowy golden yellow with an offwhite head, healthy enough. The nose is lightly sweet with hops. Not a ton, floral. Light pale malt. Corn, not a ton of it, but that special corn flake sort of sweetness, unmistakable. The mouthfeel is a bit fuller than I’d expect from the style, with standard draught sort of carbonation. The flavor is in line with the nose, though the corn is perhaps a bit more pronounced. There’s a good deal of sweetness to this. The hops are a bit low in profile for my tastes. This is however really very easy to drink. I’m just sad that the old pale was pushed aside for this pale! That being said, I was very enthused about the new experimental amber, which perhaps fills the void left by the departure of the old pale.

Dec 2, 2009 12oz bottle. Hazy golden-tan color beneath an off white head. Toasty, sweet aroma, fresh and a touch of hoppy astringency. A very straightforward APA, earthy and flowery. Crisper and a touch lighter malt-wise than most APAs, giving it a pleasant sessionability. Nice and refreshing, with some citrus edges in the solid hop bill. A really well done APA, deliciously medium bodied.

Nov 14, 2009 Light gold color with a long lasting white head. A faint aroma of fusel alcohol, some grapefruit, and a bit of grassy hop. Flavor is a little watery and the hop profile is mostly grass with a touch of citrus. Relatively quick on the finish. Just need a lot more of everything here, malt for body, hops for flavor.

Oct 30, 2009 Clear gold pour, soapy looking head. Aroma has some nice hops. Pine and citrus even a bit of floral hops. Flavor is a bit sweet with some citrus, grass and caramel.

Oct 23, 2009 On tap at the Brewpub. Poured gold with a slight orange hue. Head was slightly off-white and laced nicely. Aroma was nice and hoppy with a citrus/grapefruit note with an underlying pine note. Flavor was a bit less complex with a citrus flavor and a bit of an unpleasant metallic flavor.

Oct 18, 2009 Pours light golden amber with a nice sized white head. Aroma is light citrusy slightly earthy hop. Flavor is light malts with a little bit of crisp citrusy earthy hop finish. Not bad.

Sep 15, 2009 My first birthday beer of the day- a semi cloudy golden colour. no head. Taste is terribly metallicy actually more glassy then anything. hops are old tasting. Bottled on July ’09. everything about this beer is really dissapointing.

Sep 13, 2009 This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a softly carbonated orange colored body and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was mild malt and hops. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The balanced flavor contained notes of soft malts and medium strength hops. An OK brew just nothing special.

Sep 4, 2009 Hazy gold pour, with a sticky off-white head, nice lace. Aroma distinctly hoppy, floral and grapefruit in about equal measure, a portion of pale dried fruits in there, too, apricot, golden raisins. Flavor has a bad first impression, some apricot sweetness on the front, but also some sharp, borderline stale biscuit, that pairs badly with hops bitterness. Mellows out as drink continues, more of the fruit and floral hops comes in, off elements fade. Medium body, smooth on the palate.
