DIdn’t ever expect to see this one, but after tasting all of the other uplands, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to. Pours a cloudy golden with a small whiye head. Nose is tart, fruity (can’t discern kiwis), and acetic acid. Okay. JCB (1777), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 4, 2009 OSCF brings the rarity, baby! Somebody said p00tz’s Mom’s feet, which is totally uncalled for. It’s actually got some character that’s quite pleasant, with dry yeast and oak coming through nicely in the nose. Like the other Uplands, there’s not much carbonation to speak of. And there’s fairly little kiwi character as well, with mostly just acetic stuff coming through. Moderately enjoyable. ucusty (1900), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 3, 2009 Thanks to Todd for sharing this one! HAzy gold pour thin white head. Almost still. Fruity aroma although not really kiwi. Mild tartness upfront with a sweet tropical fruit finish. Better than expected. I often wonder if these lambics (upland) would have benefited from extra barrel time durhambeer (1218), Durham, USA

I think I actually liked this one more than most of the other Upland Lambics. Maybe I was just ready for a nice sour at this point in the tasting. Hazy yellow pour, almost still. Thin palate. Mild kiwi and almost banana notes and some grapey notes as well. Then again, I always thought kiwis tasted like white grapes and bananas mixed. This lambic is less tartly one-note acetic than most of the other Uplands I’ve had. I dig it. emacgee (1891), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA

The nose is fruity and yeasty, some band aid phenol, pretty acetic. Flavor is mildly tart, some band aid, acetic acid, coconut, fruity. Palate shows low carbonation and a mild tartness. holdenn (1443), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Nose of green grapes (kiwi?) yogurt, lemon grass, and perfumy funk. Smooth kiwi, green grapes, yogurt, and an odd lactic flavor thats not too sour. Really odd and I wished I liked it, but it just wasn’t that good. jkwalking05 (1485), Arlington, Texas, USA
