Bottle during the First Annual Chicago Sour Tasting thanks to Kan. Cloudy orange straw color with no head. Aroma is poporri with slight fruit sweetness, wood, yogurt (lacto), lemongrass? Flavor is medium sweet lime with lacto, wood as well. Medium light body with a little pucker. Gets better as it warms but pretty different and strange.

The smell is kiwi, tart, wood, sour, funk, and pretty good. The look is cloudy, thin to no head, golden straw colored. The taste is a little watery, tart, fruits, wood, acidic, and dry. You cannot really tell its kiwi.

I liked this. It isn’t incredible, but it is cool to see a brewer try a different fruit, and the result is a good, sour beer. Orange and a little bit cloudy. Sour, yeasty aroma. Mild sourness, and fairly smooth palate, but still easily enough sourness for the style. Flavor has yeast, and a very light, effervescent kiwi. Lots of carbonation, with bubbles on the palate. Even though it could have more fruit, it is still a sour, true-to-style lambic, and there is nothing not to like about that. Thanks to Skyview for sharing.

Bottle. Pours with no head and a clear yellow body. Aroma of apple juice, exotic fruits, soil and a light sweetness. Taste is sour and slightly fruity, woody with vanilla and oak, some exotic fruits. Lacking on the kiwi. Puckering mouthfeel with light bubbles.

Bottle. Body-very hazy, dark yellow like a dehydrated morning piss, still. Nose-some diarrhea, some sick sourness, slight Port-O-Potty. Taste-buttery, berry, not a lot of kiwi, creek water, thin, lime, Sprite. Very refreshing and zesty n a Gatorade meets beer kind of way.

SourFest II. Courtesy of Skyview. Orange color with no head. A light, fruity aroma that is not explicitly kiwi. Flavor is like an American Wheat Ale, only with less wheat.
