The aroma has notes of acetone, acid, and fruits. The flavor is sweet and acidic with notes of fruits, acetone, lacto, and some wood, leading to a tart acidic finish. Not as crazy as I’d thought, bu tnice. Huge thanks to fonefan for sharing this. Papsoe (14997), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 21, 2009 Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Clear golden with no head. Lots of acetone and fruit. A little thin-bodied, low in carbonation. Tart acetic acid with a faint kiwi note. Fresh but not all that powerful.
Second pour: cloudy opaque golden with some floaties and absolutely no head. The acetone is a little heavier but otherwise the beer doesn’t change all that much. Still a discreet - if rather tart - Fruit Lambic. 211009 fonefan (11607), VestJylland, Denmark

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 21, 2009 Bottle. Good sweet aroma, a bit fruity with some mild leather, a bit of oak smell. Viney grape notes as well. Hazy orange colour. Almost no head. The flavour starts off citric with a little vanilla. The initial sourness is mild, but when it is swallowed, it gets a bit rougher. Sour aroma with brett, lacto, barnyard, wood and kiwi hints. Flavour was sour and somewhat sweet and the kiwi’s gave it a sweet edge though the barnyard, brett, lacto and wood kicked in as expected towards the end. Finished nicely sour. Nice balance and the kiwi gave it a nice fruityness. Lovely.

Alround rating: Initiallty fairly acidic but by the end seems almost sweet, fruity kiwi makes it a bit one dimentional, bit of diactyl makes me think this needs more time in the barrel before blending, a bit farty as it goes on. I dont recognise this as a lambic in anyway shape or form. bu11zeye (5495), Frisco, Texas, USA

Poured a cloudy yellow color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing.
Moderate to heavy tart citrus, herbs and yeasty aroma.
Medium body with a sticky texture.
Medium to heavy fruity sour flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration.
This is a standout lambic.
