| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 15, 2009 Pours a transparent deep copper amber with a spotty lacing cream-colored head. Has a semisweet toasty grainy German malty nose with a touch of noble hops. Starts with good fullness and a grainy caramel malty sweetness well balanced with some slightly resiny earthy green hops finishing drier crisp and bittersweet. Very true to style and enjoyable. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 13, 2008 Deep orange-amber beer with a cream tan head. Aroma is nice and sweet but there is an unappealing dustiness as well. Fairly prominent apple/diactyl butter aroma as well. Flavour is sweet but full of this distracting dustiness. It’s kind of a mess. ¾ (5006), Boulder, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 26, 2008 Red hazy body, viscous, oily, bright and glowing in my glass. Has a medium thickness, which is quite thick for maibock, and preferred, actually, and it’s properly crisp, toasty and clean, with a chewy but fresh corn and bran flavor, and a sharp, fresh, smacking finish. Of course there’s a bit of rye staleness in there as well, but it’s very malt-forward, very crisp, bright and brash, but has a nice toasted corn and bread flavor in the finish. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 8, 2007 Nice pour, an orange/copper body with steady bubbling and a tall off-white head that does intricate lacing as it recedes. It has a sweet, toasty malt aroma with touches of caramel and apple along with a subdued earthiness. Nice bread & caramel flavor with some earthy bitterness to keep the sweetness in check. Okay.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 6, 2009 Dark orange/amber color with a taller soft, cream colored head. Toasted malt, grass, light vegetable, and caramel in the scents. Lightly earthy malt and caramel flavors in the front. LIght alcohol and spicy hops noted in the middle. Finish has more spice and a sharpness that is nearing metallic. Not a smooth easy drinking bock. A few too many rough edges. Tmoney99 (4792), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 24, 2006 Bottle. Poured a hazy dark amber with an average frothy off-white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Solid tart citrus nutty malty aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium balanced nutty sweet flavor with the same smooth finish of average duration. Much better than my expectations.
