BBB63 (3795), La Porte, Indiana, USA Nov 28, 2005 Tap at brewery: Nice coppery hue with a fading head and minimal lace. The aroma has notes of caramel and crystal malting, floral and light pine hops, some citrus, and earthy esters. The taste is very balanced between the sweet malt and bitters with a acidic twang for support. I found this a bit yeasty after a while. What it isn’t however is a classic "oxiditized" British Strong, more of a hybrid. The feel is smooth and astrengent finished. Alcohol is hidden very well and made this very refreshing. Strange brew but has it warmed I enjoyed it more and more.
