Balanced aroma with toasted malts and fruity hops. Decidedly hoppy flavor (Pine and grass), with just a little bit of toasted malts. Medium body with lots of carbonation. Kind of a tangy finish. Overall, it just an average pale ale. johntreeter (122), Greenwood, Indiana, USA

A little over cabonated, but good lacing to the bottom. Pours copper in color with aromas of grapefruit, toast, and a tiny bit of pine. Similar flavors with a touch of nuts and grass. A little bubbly at the begining then a good crisp sweet to bitter to sweet again feel with a medium light body, a good thirst quincher. A good beer jrob21 (1268), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Flavors og grassy bitter hops but faint and muted. A little thin and watery but the flavors that are there are nice they would just be better if more pronounced. mgoy (343), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 25, 2008 I sampled this on draft at Upland in Bloomington. Upland Pale Ale has a clear amber body with a very nice off-white head. The aroma is medium with notes of tangerine, orange and other citrus notes. The flavor is refreshing with a sweet malt background. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 19, 2008 Dark gold to light copper body with an off white head. The aroma was decent grapefruit with some almonds and hints of caramel. The taste was grapefruit and bread crust with some bell peppers in the finish. Lots of carbonation and lacing. Ok, just boring. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 12, 2008 Bottle (12oz) Incredibly bubbly and cloudy reddish-amber with a huge frothy beige head, nice lace residue. Dry roasty malt, slightly leafy, soft citrus and yeast. Taste - very juicy, moderately roasty, funky-yeasty, increasing lemon zest. Mouthfeel impressions mostly soft, still, dry and acidic. Unusual, but I liked it. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 7, 2008 Clear light yellow body with a fizzy off-white head. Sweet nose of citrus, wheat, but some funky thing lingering. Watery. Some hopiness in the flavor but not enough to redeem this beer from being mediocre at best.
