CaptainCougar (4663), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 4, 2003 Pours a mild golden with a big frothy white head. Pleasant Saaz hoppy aroma with a dry caramel matly profile. Clean, crisp body has a nice sweetness and good authentic hoppiness. One of the best Pilsners I've had. Very smooth and flavorful. Thanks bigbadbear63! smoosh (523), New Albany, Indiana, USA Oct 7, 2003 Draft: This is the best beer I've had from Upland. Spicy hops in the nose and flavor. Crisp and flavorful with a nice mouthfeel. Had to order another! tallmatt67 (99), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Sep 29, 2003 (bottled) Deep straw color, bright with light haze. Grassy floral & faintly toasty aroma. Malty punch followed by quickly fading clean finish, but lingering expansive bitterness. Creamy carbonation and medium-body. Great! BBB63 (3810), La Porte, Indiana, USA Aug 17, 2003 Updated: Dec 7, 2003Rerate: The taste is more refined with a smooth european character, causing me to bump up the flavor and overall scores by 1 each...Original rate: Grassy yellow with a small head and little lacing. Aroma of Saaz hops, toasted malts, apples, caramel, and grass. Crisp aromatic hops followed by light malty sweetness. Dry and clean finish. Light-bodied, with a watery and fizzy mouthfeel. Quaffable summer session brew. Works for me.
