Some lace left behind. Clean malt nose. Lightly hoppy with some herbs. I managed to find out that they used Sterling hops. Very hoppy and bitter with a sturdy malt backbone. Really easy to drink and easily kept my interest to the bottom of the glass. Medium body with a fairly high amount of carbonation. Dry malty finish. Really nice beer and I hope to find it in my local store some day soon. illinismitty (1800), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 24, 2009 Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of honey, pilsner malts, and European hops. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Flavor of biscuit, white bread, and honey countered by an assertive spicy hop bitterness. Smooth and semi- dry grassy finish. Solid Pilsener in my book- because it has detectable hops and is not watery. drewbeerme (2306), Chicago, Illinois, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 13, 2007 Draught at the pub. Clear deep golden pour with a creamy white head. Great hoppy nose, slightly floral. Nice pretzel malt taste, firm malty backbone, and a musty, almost Fuggly hop profile with a memory of salt. Strong bitterness with a long, bitter, bone-dry aftertaste. Has a really nice German spiciness in the mid-body. Full-bodied for a pilsner with a little brewpub yeast. Burps are delicious. Seems to hold up well against food, but might be a bit wearying after some volume. A delicious everyday pils - solid if unspectacular. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 3, 2007 Rich golden yellow with almost no head, really just a white ring (probably more a testament to the pouring skills of the bartender rather than a lack of carbonation). Peppery hops. A bit grainy and toasty in terms of the malt nose. Light sweetness. Fruity to floral hops come out a bit, like in most of Uplands beers. Creamy mouthfeel with appropriate to slightly high carbonation. Not particularly watery, just right. The flavors pop a bit more than the nose. Peppery hops dominate the Upland house flavor hop profile. Rather dry. Refreshing. About what a pilsner should be. Perhaps a bit fruitier on the back end than I’d like, but this is more or less how most of Upland ‘s standard offerings come out, so maybe it’s the yeast. Not a bad pilsner at all.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 8, 2008 Objectively speaking:
Like their Saison, this relies heavily on malts and ultimately feels like a hoppy helles.
I like:
Fair white head covers the clear, soft golden. The considerable dose of hops is able to bring some refreshment into the equation. Not limited to graininess, but not the best extracted malt flavours, it lacks some fresh breadiness. Clean through and through.
I dislike:
Not entirely fitting full body which diminishes the drinkability.
