Commercial Description:
In the spring of 2006, I brewed 300 gallons of top-fermented beer using wild yeast to create a Belgian-style Lambic. We conditioned the beer in oak casks and then initiated a secondary fermentation in the casks using whole fruit from Huber’s Orchard in Starlight, Indiana. You should experience a tart, almost sour taste balanced by the aromatic and richly flavorful addition of whole raspberries - perfect to share with friends, and a platter of good cheese and fresh fruit. - Caleb Staton, Head Brewer

Bright light orange color with a small collar of white foam. Fairly nice nose with hints of leather, wood, earth and funk, along with a dominant hint of Pinot Noir. Flavor is very, very complex and has a really succulent and delicious raspberry character. Other notes of leather, funk. Very nicely balanced beer. Mostly impressed with the quality of the fruit.

Bottle at the brewpub. Had no head, just some flat bubbles from the pour. Aroma is definitely funky with those typical off aromas of a lambic. Very small hints of raspberry in the nose. Taste was, to me, dissapointing. Somewhat sour, a very small hint of raspberry, and finishes with a decent tartness. But to me, I’m just not a fan. Fun note about the 2008 bottles of Raspberry. On the label it says aged with strawberries instead of raspberries.

Bright murky red in colour with a very small white coloured head that left a surprising amount of lacing. The aroma is of raspberries, very fruity, lots of jam, juicy, woody. The flavour is of incredable tart raspberry jam, some blackberries, lots of fresh raspberries, lightly acidic and sour. Tart and dry mouthfeel, medium body, medium/high carbonation. Finishes with lots of raspberries, tart and lingering.

This is an excellent American lambic, very nice raspberry flavour. Great balance between sweet and sour.

750ml bottle obtained in a trade with sprinkle, thanks Mike.
Opened on March 28, 2008.

750ml Bottle from Clark opened at Ebenezer’s. Opened with a burst. Poured hazy pink in color with a bubbly white head. Aroma of tart Raspberries and brett funkiness. Taste is very tart with raspberries, brett, mild sweetness, and a whole lot of awesome in there. I love these Upland lambics!!!

Poured a murky pinkish color with a large white head which quickly dissipated, leaving a ring of pink bubbles around the edge of the glass. Aroma of brett, raspberries, leather, wood, and vanilla. Taste of sweeter raspberries, vanilla, some acidity, wild yeasts, some toffee, and a sour finish. Thanks to Clark for sharing this one!

An old rating i finally got to entering. Aroma was a little tart and sour with a light raspberry tang to it. Was tart in the back of the tongue but not overly tart at all. A real solid beer.

Bottle sample at Keg Fest from brewmaster. Poured hazy reddish amber color with minimal fizzy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Good tart raspberry & woody aroma. Medium body with tingly texture. Moderate sour fruity flavor with a solid tart fruit and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration.

Bottle courtesy of yjb. Pours red with a nice white head. Smells of fresh raspberries, some funky undertones. Tastes tarte and oaky with a strong presence of raspberry. Lots of residual sugary hints as this one warms. Mouthfeel is full and tingly. Finish yields a nice fresh raspberry buttery taste. This whole series has been great so far.
