Commercial Description:
In the spring of 2006, I brewed 300 gallons of top-fermented beer using wild yeast to create a Belgian-style Lambic. We conditioned the beer in oak casks and then initiated a secondary fermentation in the casks using whole fruit from Huber’s Orchard in Starlight, Indiana. You should experience a tart, almost sour taste balanced by the aromatic and richly flavorful addition of whole raspberries - perfect to share with friends, and a platter of good cheese and fresh fruit. - Caleb Staton, Head Brewer

This is probably the best of the upland fruit lambics. Great raspberry aroma. Yeast. Lots of good, intense raspberry flavor with more dry yeast, some oak, and good, lambic sourness. Thanks to Skyview for sharing this one.

SourFest II. Courtesy of Skyview. Light pink color with no head. Solid raspberry aroma and taste. Some wheat and a typicall raspberry tartness.

Nice pink color. Strongest aroma of any upland lambic. Sweet, mild raspberry flavor, tart and acidic. Mildly funky. Very solid.

750ml bottle, thanks to Bobby91w for sending this! Shared at the Del Mar housewarming party. Cloudy golden orange color with minimal carbonation. Looks a bit syrupy. Lovely raspberry tart aroma with a low amount of wild funk. Flavor is quite bready with mixes of lemon and more raspberry above light tones of oak. Raspberry continues to stick out on the lasting flavor. Fairly dry on the palate. Medium sourness overall, easy to drink. Good stuff.

Bottles thanks to two dudes, pnista, and xmarcnolanx. Thanks! Pours orange cranberry colored with very short lived head. Smell is big, fresh raspberry fruitiness, sourness. Taste is sour raspberries, light funk and dry oak. Really enjoyable and the raspberry flavor and smell really comes through in this one as opposed to some of the other flavors. Soft carbonation, but enough to be enjoyable.

(Rating #2313)

Thanks tjthresh for shipping these to me. Pours a murky purple-ish amber with a fizzy off white head. The nose is fruity, mildly tart, yeasty, some acidity comes through, definitely raspberry in their but notes of other fruits as well. Flavor is fruity, mildly tart and acidic, yeasty, oak comes through a little. Mostly tart on the back of the tongue and more as it warms. Almost still as far as carbonation.

Bottle shared by emacgee. As TURD pointed out, we were perplexed by the label, which has a picture of raspberries but says brewed with strawberries... curious. Pours cloudy peach/pink with thin white head. Some definite raspberry notes, but also some strawberry flavors. Not overly sour like some, but some tart and citric notes. Better than most of the Upland lambics I’ve had. Tasty.
