Aroma is yeasty with light fruits - strawberry.
Taste of light strawberry, yeasty with plenty of tartness. The whole fruit flavor remains very weak.

Jan 1, 2009 Thanks tpd975 for the share. Pours a dictionary definition of hazy with red in the yellow haze. Lots of sediment in the later glasses from the bottle. Aroma is vinegar, sour, brettanomyces and funk. Flaqvor has tart apple, pear, vinegar, berry (some) and yeast. Finish is acidic with a some tart in the finish.

Jan 1, 2009 Bottle courtesy of tpd975. Pours a butterscotch color with big chunks of yeast toward the bottom of the bottle. Thin off-white head. Aroma is sweet and bretty with notes ofyeast, citrus, ripe fruit, some hints of strawberry. Flavor is tart with notes of apple, pear, yeast, some notes of strawberry and sweet tarts. Generally a syrupy mouthfeel with a tart fruit finish.

Dec 31, 2008 Updated: Apr 19, 2009Thanks JCB for sharing. Pours a crisp hazy gold with a thin fizzy white head. Doesn’t display much carbonation. The nose is very perfumey, fruity, earthy yeasty character, mild tartness, strawberries there and done well. The flavor is mildly tart, shows coconut (?), strawberry, mild spicy oak character. The palate is mildly tart while also exhibiting a nice fruityness.

Dec 31, 2008 Bottle courtesy of tpd975. Pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, citrus, brett, and a hint of strawberry. Taste is strawberry, citrus, and spicy yeast. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness and mild to moderate amount of acidity. Very good.

Dec 30, 2008 Thanks to the powerful StFun for getting this bad boy down to the Cackalack. It pours much paler than I was expecting, but it’s got a soft springtime feel to it that seems appropriate, with a carbonation that some of the other Uplands have lacked. Subtle oak and the sharp aroma of fresh strawb in the nose, the latter complementing the wood pretty nicely. As you get into the beer, a sweet confection emerges, taking the edge off of what the sour freaks really want. But overall, it’s as ucusty says: a good gateway funk dose.

Dec 29, 2008 Bottle. Well I finally am trying an Upland lambic. The beer really was pretty ugly but tasted pretty good. Murky, cloudy orangish brown color. No head. Aroma is a slight bit funky with strawberries. Flavor is tart but not sour. Funky fails here, but refreshing and easy to drink wins. Not bad.

Dec 29, 2008 Cheers to JCB for sharing with us. Cloudy orange/pink pour. Thin head. Woody perfumy nose. Smells like Strawberry Shortcake (the doll, not the dessert). A bit more sweet than sour. A mellow sour, for sure.
