Pours a very murky golden color with a medium sized head that fades quickly. Aroma is nice with lively light strawberry jam. Very natural springtime kind of feel to it. Then young/wild tart strawberries. Taste is again light strawberry jam but they come with light spikes of sourness. Then finishes with a a seltzer carbonation. A bit of light brett breaking through the tart strawberries as well. Very nice, a bit of a step up over the blueberry. dougblur (11), , Indiana, USA

Nice funky nose, minimal actual strawberry, but I say that’s a good thing, some oak, and some band-aid notes once they were pointed out, but they were minimal to me. Great tart bracing acetic lambic flavor, the fruit was more of a strawberry & cherry mix, great lingering bone dry finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a great puckering dryness that sucks the spit out of your cheeks. Overall, very authentic, and much better than the Hanssens Oudbeitje as far as strawberry beers go. Somewhat astringent at this point, but I’m really excited about this great, horsey authentic blast coming out the glass. Bright and vibrant. Pours a slightly peach-tinted straw, with a rim in white. Really tart and sour! Acidic and fragrant with un-ripened strawberrys. Not so delicate, but straightforward with a punch of really well mixed acidity and fruit residuals. Rather complex, to my taste. Interesting all around. I don’t find the funk as being off in any significant way. In fact, I relish in some of the unique individualities of this beer. The strawberries don’t even come close to overwhelming, they’re really subtle to me, adding a base level of fruit nuances to all parts of the beer. Body is nicely round. Backs out on a touch of acetic acid. Delicious. kmweaver (2501), Sebastopol, California, USA

Pours a deep, murky grapefruit color; minimal head formation. Solid amounts of cheese and red fruits (strawberries, light cherries) and funk in the aroma; nicely tart and acidic with a fresh fruit character. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: chewy, genuine strawberry presence, citric acidity, and solid amounts of funk; solid, pitty strawberries and funk. Medium finish: pittiness, tart strawberries, and some lingering citrus acidity. 8.4.8.4.14=3.8
750mL bottle, courtesy of acrdz. Thanks, Mike! Pours a murky, watermelon / peachy-orange color; minimal head formed. Band-aid, tart strawberries, pleasant funk and fruit skins and cherries in the aroma; quite pleasant, and the band-aid character, while present, doesn’t detract much. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: light carbonation; solid pitty fruits (more tart cherries than strawberries upfront), funk, and tart citrus; pleasant, dry core of strawberries and tart red fruit. Medium finish: strawberries, citrus, and residual tartness and funk. 8.3.7.4.15=3.7 wickedpete (629), Lexington Park, Maryland, USA

Rich, tart, funky dry nose of cotton balls, band aids (the good kind) and horseblanket, with the wheat more prominent than the strawberry, which is dull but seedy/pitty. Very dry, very tart, somewhat funky/feet, very wheat and starchy. Very good, surprisingly good. I like it a lot.
