Commercial Description:
In the spring of 2006, I brewed 300 gallons of top-fermented beer using wild yeast to create a Belgian-style Lambic. We conditioned the beer in oak casks and then initiated a secondary fermentation in the casks using whole fruit from Huber's Orchard in Starlight, Indiana. You should experience a tart, almost sour taste balanced by the aromatic and richly flavorful addition of whole strawberries - perfect to share with friends, and a platter of good cheese and fresh fruit. - Caleb Staton, Head Brewer

750 ml bottle shared by Padrefan. Lots of tart, acidic aromas. Mostly strawberry. Real nice strawberry flavor. Tartness backs off a bit in the flavor and alows the sweet strawberry to show up nicely. Good stuff.

Based on the 3 I’ve had to this point (I’m missing the Blackberry) this is my favorite of the Upland Lambics. Cloudy gold, fluffy white head. Nose is lemon & undefined general berriness. Strawberry fields - dirt, hay, strawberry. Flavor is acid, light berry but more gueuze like than anything. As with the raspberry this is well done. The lack of defined fruit here really helps this one shine - I wish they had released a non-fruited version.

Tasting, courtesy of Fordest’s event. Beer #3. Pours a murky orange color with a small white head. The nose had a big funky strawberry and sour fruit character. The flavor was very sour with more strawberries and some sour cherries. The mouthfeel was just a bit thin. Finishes long and sour.Overall: Not very complex, but it all seems to work quite well. Will drink again.

25.4 oz bottle. Foggy gold with a white ring and some haze. Hints of barnyard, with lemon pith, leather and strawberry puree. Medium light with a fine, tangy carb. Taste not overly sour; creamy lemon, taffy and strawberry that never quite gets sweet. Oak smooths the tart edges. My mom and sister didn’t seem to like this so i got most of the bottle.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, yellow-orange body with a thin, wispy, white head. Smell: Tart-smelling, lightly acetic aroma of pureed strawberries, fresh hay, and a touch of citrus. Taste: Tart, ripe strawberry flavor with a juicy sweetness and pop of puckering sourness (but not too too sour). Hint of citrus. Dried, crisp finish that has you refexively saying "good stuff!" Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Mild carbonation. Drinkability: Another delightful lambic from the folks at Upland.

Bottle: The aroma is musty sweet strawberries along with some bretty sourness and tart strawberries. It pours a hazy orange with a small white head. The flavor starts with a quick strawberry sweetness and quickly fades to a funky lemon sourness and strawberry tartness. Light bodied with soft carbonation.
