Commercial Description:
In the spring of 2006, I brewed 300 gallons of top-fermented beer using wild yeast to create a Belgian-style Lambic. We conditioned the beer in oak casks and then initiated a secondary fermentation in the casks using whole fruit from Huber's Orchard in Starlight, Indiana. You should experience a tart, almost sour taste balanced by the aromatic and richly flavorful addition of whole strawberries - perfect to share with friends, and a platter of good cheese and fresh fruit. - Caleb Staton, Head Brewer

Colour... hazy straw. Nose... acetic with hints of fruit. Palate... wait a sec! Is this really strawberry? Tastes like cherry to me. Was there a labeling boo-boo at Upland? Nice stuff with a fruity, long finish but it sure tastes more like cherries than strawberries. In any case, I like it much better than the blackberry from Upland.

From bottle, blind #14. Pours hazy orange with a small and collapsed white head. Dry wooden, brett and peachy hoppy aroma. Citric to light acidic and milky base flavoured yet also with a nice level of remaining sweetness. Smooth acidity and crisp hoppy flavoured finish.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Hazy and opaque golden with a greasy off-white head. Tart, fruity aroma. Light body with a flat carbonation, fresh but hard to define fruit accents, plenty of acetone and acid. Delicious nonetheless. 120609

750, capped and corked. Thanks, RiversideAK! Pours cloudy amber with a white ring of foam. Sour, brett-like strawberry nose. Ligh body and medium carbonation. Surprisingly little strawberry in the taste. Tart finish.

Bottle from xmarcnolanx - thanks! This one had a nice golden color that got quite cloudy on the second half of the bottle with a decent bit of fast-fading carbonation. Aroma was fairly funky with a nice mix of gueuze and light strawberries. Flavor had some oaky-funky gueuze-like notes with some strawberries and sourness. Nice feel. After reading so many so-so reviews, it sounds like time is surely this beer’s friend. Overall pretty good.
