Aroma shows nice funk and fruitiness. Strawberries not recognizable unless you look for them. Upland house character is starting to become evident after trying multiple types of their lambics, they definitely share similarities and are recognizable as Upland. Similar aroma to the peach. Soft funkiness, not much barnyard, no unpleasant aromas. Relatively mild. Flavor is well balanced tartness. Mildly sour, light acidity but a nice pleasant tartness that shows plenty of fruit character. Ripe tasting, fruit skins, orange. Could be a bit drier and more tart, I think some age will help this particular beer. Good though not one of my favorite Upland Lambics. SuzyGreenberg (1408), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 15, 2009 Golden pour with a light red tinge. Funky, bretty aroma, with wood, lemon, leather, citrus and light strawberries. Sour flavor with some funk and a hint of strawberries. I was worried the fruit would dominate, but I was pleasantly surprised. Absolutely awesome. Stunning.
