Commercial Description:
In the spring of 2006, I brewed 300 gallons of top-fermented beer using wild yeast to create a Belgian-style Lambic. We conditioned the beer in oak casks and then initiated a secondary fermentation in the casks using whole fruit from Huber's Orchard in Starlight, Indiana. You should experience a tart, almost sour taste balanced by the aromatic and richly flavorful addition of whole strawberries - perfect to share with friends, and a platter of good cheese and fresh fruit. - Caleb Staton, Head Brewer

750ml. Pours a hazy orange color, modestly carbonated with a poorly retained bone white head. Aroma shows nice funk and fruitiness. Strawberries not recognizable unless you look for them. Upland house character is starting to become evident after trying multiple types of their lambics, they definitely share similarities and are recognizable as Upland. Similar aroma to the peach. Soft funkiness, not much barnyard, no unpleasant aromas. Relatively mild. Flavor is well balanced tartness. Mildly sour, light acidity but a nice pleasant tartness that shows plenty of fruit character. Ripe tasting, fruit skins, orange. Could be a bit drier and more tart, I think some age will help this particular beer. Good though not one of my favorite Upland Lambics.

750 ml bottle - thanks riversideak!! pours very hazy light pink with no head; tartness is very upfront in the nose, but smooths out; strawberry is a little weak; soft, silky texture with slight sour finish; a nice fruit beer and perhaps my fav of the 3 or 4 i’ve tried

Bottle shared by hellbilly at his hellraiser 3.0 tasting. Pours a murky orange with a few floaters and minimal head. The nose is sour wheat, funky yeast and light vinegar. The taste is green strawberries, yeast, light strawberry juice and mild vinegar. Medium bodied. Decent lambic – thanks Josh!

(750ml bottle) Pours a lightly hazy to murky golden (slight pinkish hue) body with a small off-white (light pink) head. Aroma of funky barnyard, vinegar, strawberries, and sharp cheese notes. Flavor of strawberries, earthiness, and funkiness with a dry oak finish.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours a hazy persimmon color. (hell yeah! I finally get to use that color name I recently learned) Nose is dirty, earthy berries. Taste is earthy, woody, tangy and fruity and the strawberries are subtle and pleasant. Medium to long finish, and medium mouthfeel. Nice beer. Lively bubbles.

Golden pour with a light red tinge. Funky, bretty aroma, with wood, lemon, leather, citrus and light strawberries. Sour flavor with some funk and a hint of strawberries. I was worried the fruit would dominate, but I was pleasantly surprised. Absolutely awesome. Stunning.
