Feb 13, 2009 Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Great beer. Pours with a small white head that fades over a hazy orange-gold body. Good lacing left behind. Aroma has a nice barnyard funk to it with some earthy brett, wood, lemon, citrus, vanilla sweetness, florals, and honey suckle. Sadly no real strawberry comes across in the aroma for me. Taste is sour with strong honey suckle, wood and light strawberry in the finish. Some orange blossom as well. Light, delicate mouthfeel with small and sparse lively bubbles coming through. I like this stuff a lot, but I thought that the strawberry was VERY understated, which is why I didn’t rate this higher.

Feb 13, 2009 Bottle. Body-Hazy dark yellow/light orange/urine color with a razor thin ring of bubbles. Except for the ring of bubbles, this is very still. Nose-spoiled milk, spoiled berries, very light hidden funk. Taste-citric juice, medium acid, very light funk, good acid balance. Good, but I would like just a little more aggressiveness. Overall leaves me slightly disappointed.

Feb 13, 2009 Bottle thanks to Bu11zeye. Pours a murky gold/orange/pink. Aroma id very nice, some citrus and barnyard. Flavor is tart, some strawberry, some barnyard. Mouthfeel is light body, kinda watery, fizzy. Overall, tasty stuff!

Feb 13, 2009 big thanks to bu11zeye for this bottle. murky gold pour with no head. nose of oak/wood, funk and strawberry. great on the palate with a very nice funk/acidic flavor and a strawberry finish. the best Upland lambic I’ve had by far.

Feb 11, 2009 Lots of tart funky notes on the noes with an underlying soft strawberry base. Hazy/milky orange red color with no head. The flavor is mostly tart and sour with loads of funk. Very acidic. All the tartness is rather overwhelming, but there is a light sweet strawberry effervescence like that found in a seltzer or something. Long tart dry finish. I like.

Feb 11, 2009 Batch 1 bottle (07 release). Crystal clear light orange with a thin light white head. Big sharp lambic nose. Strawberry. Light subtle sweetness. Lightly peppery. Tight. Very light body with medium carbonation. Light light malt. Dry tart, fruity strawberry. Really lingers. The star here is the bugs, but they integrate so smoothly with the oak and strawberry. Really very nice.

Feb 7, 2009 Bottle Batch 2: Thanks puzzl! Pours very muddy, cannot see through it at all with a white ring of head. Nice looking. Interesting aroma- sour fruitiness, pineapple character, sharp brett notes, leathery and just a touch of soft berryish character in the background. Creamy feel- lactic flavor. Some odd fruity notes, acidic with berry flavors, and coconut? Unique and complex. I love Upland’s yeast strain for their Lambic series. Good stuff.

Feb 6, 2009 Bottled from Sprinkle. Nice tart, lime aroma, with a touch of strawberry. Kind of nutty. Sweetish, nutty, almost unmistakable strawberry flavor, a bit puckering. Solid.
