| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jan 14, 2008 My Bottom Line:
The heavenly marriage of yeasty wilderness, poignant citrusy tartness, and chameleon fruitiness of pomegranates and strawberries is consecrated in this amazingly uplifting Upland P-Lambic.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam surfs the orangey blond.
-The calculated tartness is not overpowering yet leaves a indelible citrusy impression, much like the sour kumquats I had had earlier in the day.
-Carbonation is fluffy and suits the flavor profile perfectly.
-This is very drinkable and quite authentic (moreso than their Blueberry Lambic).

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 2, 2007 Corked bottle. Ah, the last of the lambics. Quite a gusher, at least as much so as the Raspberry, but with a regular cork. Aroma is pretty amazing - perfectly, perfectly balanced between candy sweetness and lambic sourness, natural strawberry flavor (think marmelade) in pleasant, liliting tones. Really an attractive fruitiness. Pours a pink-orange (perhaps gold), clear and sediment-rich, with a noisy but soon-diminished white head. Taste, on the other hand, is tilted to sour’s favor; this isn’t the brutal, punishing sour or other lambics, rather a measured, alluring, saliva-inducing reminder of craftsmanship and gentility in men. Strawberry flavor is pushed into the background, but the rich and seductive fruitiness remains. Medium body seems full at times but never oily, with just enough prickly carbonation to keep things interesting. Just a touch of mouth pucker. Touch of dry woodiness, though not distinctly oak, stretching from the finish into the aftertaste. I had considered calling this straightforward after the first few sips, even with the flittering flashes of funk floating around, until I discovered the young, slightly leathery brett and slightly musty character in the mid-body. I am now convinced of this beer’s quality. Juicy and robust, a midwest masterpiece!
