Schwarz-like appearance. Decent label, dark brown transparent beer. Tastes like slightly rancid sunflower seeds a bit. Light sweetness and nuttiness over an astringent, not-very-dark malt core. Better than Bud, but not by much.

Dark brown color, light, off-white head -little to no lacing. Non-descript aroma - a stitch above wet papr bag. Watery mouthfeel. Flavor of faded raisins perhaps, not all that refreshing or "ale" like. Metalic finish. Pass on this one if possible.

Good color, slight roasty-chocolate flavor, little bitterness, but falls short in overall flavor dept. It’s very drinkable, just could be a bit stronger in all areas.

Skanky smell. Carbonation in place of haps, bothering the mouth. Some malt, a trace of fruit, and a mid-sip hint of toffee and chocolate. Bitterness bite. Better than warm water at the end of a summer day.

I would like to have taken notes when I first tried this back in university – I do remember quite enjoying it. As is, I recently picked up a 6 pack for some nostalgia – it still is one of the best looking beers in these parts, but that anticipation is massively let down at the flavour. It does have a nice malty taste, but that is quickly washed away in a watery body and not entirely pleasing aftertaste. I’ll still take the rebellion over this as their best current product, but it is all relative I suppose.

must start by thanking Lubiere for this one. Orange colored and clear, with a tan head. Slightly fruity and malty aroma. Just a bit more character than the other lighter brews from upper Canadia. Malty flavor with a touch of chocolate in the finish.

Dark amber body with thin off-white head. Looks to be heavily carbonated. Body is a dark brown, almost dark ambery colour. Aroma is slightly sweet and malty, but nothing much else here. Taste is malty sweetness with a watery and slightly bitter palate.
