It poured a mouth-watering reddish-brown, leaving a sandy head, which sadly dissipated quickly. Lovely maltiness and balanced bitterness, slightly sweet and very filling. A wonderful ale! This is a good sipping beer for me until I get the gumption to pick up an Imperial Stout. Brewster (29), Ontario, Canada

This is a good brew i would try again....north of here Gooner (136), Chatham, Ontario, Canada

First taste has a bite to it, but the second taste is heaven. Wonderful finish. Toffeeish and burnt tasting. Sweet, but not too sweet. Perfect! Also, the label and the bottle is top notch for viewing. A lot of grade A craftsmanship was put into this beer. Iron Duke Strong Ale by Wellington County still takes the golden prize, though. I had it at a keg party (I know not typical of keggers) and it was fantastic. Decided to buy a bottle of it later and it proved well again. Nice malty taste, very creamy!
